Pineapple・Betty's
It was cool. Kaoru's shop in Mejiro. It was a large space like a studio.
It was a shop attached to the cafe run by the owner of that place.
I remember that there was a pinball machine and a table in the wide space, and a board with a pineapple on it was placed in one corner.
Betty's advertisement published in the magazine
I got a call from Kaoru and said, "Take a picture of the advertisement," so on my way home from work in Tokyo,
I think it was Azabu Studio or Roppongi Studio. At that time, I borrowed a strobe called Bulker and took it all the way to Mejiro. It's Kaoru's first advertisement, so if you're going to shoot it anyway, you have to take a cool one.

Because it's Pineapple Betty, I asked Kaoru and Shibata (Mitsuyuki) to take a pineapple and took a picture.
If Kaoru says she wants to do something, everyone will naturally gather. On that day, the early members gathered, and when I finished taking pictures of the advertisement, I took a commemorative photo with this one.
Rino Katase was also there. You were an acquaintance of the owner.
When I saw this situation in Kamakura, I thought, "Why in Tokyo, and why is it Mejiro?" But it was interesting to build such a cool surf shop.
But the owner died in an accident, and the curtain was suddenly closed.
That was Betty's first shop.
The photo is published in the book "Kaoru Ohno Badfish".
